Blog Post Frequency

You may recall in the December 2021 post detailing my 2022 strategic plan for both the Sy’Arrian Legacy Series and content creation in general, where I stated some drastic changes would be needed to move forward on a deeper commitment in my writing. This post will detail one such change.

I have already written a few chapters for The Fury of Ages, book two of the series, while taking time to do a little reading and research. Considering time will march by without a care or consideration about your readiness to take charge and grasp opportunities when they present themselves, I felt it necessary to craft a short post to keep all of you informed.

While my fervor continues to motivate and produce content, I must be realistic in my expectations because, believe it or not, writing is not the only thing I need to continue cultivating. The necessity to take brief respites in-between bursts of writing is paramount to maintaining a strong momentum and refining other interests designed to feed the imagination.

Reading more, returning to a regular exercise schedule, and meditating are all past endeavors, which have suffered due to my singular focus on spending most of my free time gaming. I have since taken back those interests and have noticed a change in focus. There are some other aspects I am integrating a tad slower but the main premise here is to stop not doing what you enjoy and return to a more rounded approach in cultivating the self.

A suggestion was provided by my husband who indicated time may be better spent cranking out an extra chapter here and there instead of worrying about a monthly blog post. Admittedly, I was opposed to such an idea considering I have been steadily creating content for this blog since 2017. I feel it has been one of the only vehicles, which has helped create some level of awareness for the Sy’Arrian Legacy Series

My lack of faith related to the effectiveness of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to deliver one’s content to the masses has been grumbled about by yours truly in several previous posts. Creating a blog via Squarespace was one of the best decisions I have made while navigating the nuances associated with marketing myself and The Cradle of Destiny. Alas, I came to the realization my husband of 22-years may be right, which is usually the case. The day we stop listening to those who know us better than ourselves is the day we stagnate and stop progressing.

This post will signify a change in the frequency of posts for this blog. Rest assured it is only temporary, while I get back on track and make up for lost time. I will begin posting every other month beginning with this one. My intent is to keep it at one post; however, I may write a bonus one should the mood strike me.

During the interim between posts, please reach out with your questions, comments, or potential blog post ideas. I will respond when I am able. Thank you for your continued reading and support over the years. Although many of you remain relatively silent, I know you are out there, and it is much appreciated.

Be safe, be well and allow compassion to manifest while we continue to navigate a crazy but beautiful world.
