Since the beginning of time, carried by the cosmic winds, the truth of existence was written, which spoke of a race capable of touching the known elements who would bring harmony and balance to the One Source for truth lies not in power, but in its restoration.
The pictures below are placeholders only until actual cover art is created. The Cradle of Destiny does display cover art created by my first publisher whom I am no longer in a contractual relationship.
Book One: The Cradle of Destiny
July 2025 - UPDATE
The Cradle of Destiny, Book One of The Sy’Arrian Legacy Series was initially released in July 15, 2018, through the ePublisher, Rogue Phoenix Press, whom I have since cut ties and I now have full rights to my content.
While waiting for my five-year contract to end with my first publisher, I took a hiatus to flesh out proper background elements for the series plot and characters. It was a necessary endeavor to ensure consistency, clarity, and proper adherence to story-telling mechanics.
The Sy’Arrian Legacy Series universe is vast with only me, myself, and I to track all the elements associated with three distinct storylines. Trust it is a true, labor of love.
It has now gone through a rigorous editing process, where I will resubmitting it to publishers who I can trust will market it properly.
Thank you for reading and following my journey!
Book Four: Wraiths of Pyraya
July 2025
At this point, I have rough notes and general plot points for books four, five, and six. The creative process works differently in each of us. For me, I know once I begin to finish book two, my mind will be fine-tuning book three and diving into more specific details for book four.
In Wraiths of Pyraya, a group of Sy’Arrians will be interacting with the race of assassins, who originally created the practice and all the other races took techniques from them to create their own styles. This race is known as the Pylogi who share their homeworld, Pyraya with their sister race, the Pyraliens.
The plot of book four will tie heavily into one of the three primary storylines involving the various intelligence gathering factions who actively work to thwart the nefarious deeds of the Telerin Government.
Book Seven: The One Source
August 2025
As we, the writer and reader, get to this point, all three primary storylines will converge, which shape the main theme of the entire series.
By this time, the main antagonist will be fully revealed and a much deeper understanding of The One Source and what is its true purpose will be explored.
To say it is not what we expect is an understatement to say the least.
Book Two: Destiny’s Shroud
July 2025
I had initially began Destiny’s Shroud, while waiting for the contract with my first publisher to end, until I realized time would be better spent fine-tuning the first book.
Since I am now finished with those refinements, I am back on course. Book two was not part of my original concept for each book in the series. Once I realized, I had not been able to truly delve deep into the lore of the Sy'Arrians in book one, I knew it was imperative to cement their culture into the minds of readers earlier in the series. If I were to do it later in the series, it very rightly could be considered creative writing malpractice (smile…)
In book two, I will be delving into much greater detail as to who really are the Sy’Arrians. More of their history, cultural dynamics, personal backgrounds of the main characters, and how they view their ability to connect to the elements comprising the known universe.
This story will take place on their homeworld, Hyprus where, after recuperating from the events at the end of book one, they will be invaded by the same force who sought to destroy them previously.
Book Five: A Gathering of Foes
July 2025
In this book, the three primary storylines will be evenly addressed as elements from the first four books coalesce.
I will refrain from conveying too many plot points and character names at this point in an effort to keep certain elements a “surprise.”
Given how outlines and plot development can change over the course of just one book, let alone five, it is best not to set expectations on some elements, which could potentially go away as the creative process does its “thing.”
Book Eight: The Sy’Arrian Legacy
August 2025
This year I have begun reconnecting with my spirituality. Delving into and practicing principles of Zen, along with Taoist philosophy have transformed how I see the universe and my place within it.
The titles and rough concepts of what the last two books of the series were elusive. Nonetheless, I did not obsess over it, putting faith in the creative process and trusting it would guide me as it always has.
Thus, on one of my afternoon walks, it came to me while listening to orchestration from some of my favorite movies.
It hit me in one of the best ways possible where the obvious nature of the title is also the most fitting.
Book Three: The Fury of Ages
July 2025
In The Fury of Ages, the setting will primarily take place on the planet of Lotar, homeworld of the Hyprovians who are a highly aggressive and intelligent race, priding themselves on their physical prowess. Although they have vast military capabilities, they only enter into a conflict when it furthers their interests.
A Hyprovian religious sect, the Lnorian Society, vies for control of the Dralak Council who governs only the highest functions of the Hyprovian people.
Over the course of the last two decades, the Lnorian Society have attempted to seize control of its leadership. They will use manifestations of the One Source in its populace to weave paranoia and refer to One Source sensitive Hyprovian’s as abominations.
Sycor Craycon, a descendant of Kresnaw Craycon, who founded the religious sect will essentially be the main protagonist given the One Source is beginning to manifest in him.
This is what will draw a group of Sy’Arrians to Lotar in attempt to uncover the cause of unusual manifestations of The One Source in its ecosystem. The only question is, will they uncover the true purpose behind these changes before the Lnorian Society embroils the Hyprovians in civil war.
Book Six: The Five
July 2025
If I set up the first five books properly, the meaning behind this book’s title will be evident, or should be evident to readers before they read the first page.
What I will say is The Five not only leans massively into The Sy’Arrian Legacy storyline but into the lore behind their use of the elements comprising the known universe and The One Source.
